The bronze

The most renowned sculptors in history have used bronze to forge timeless works of art which touch the soul. This metal offers such incredible resistance to corrosion that it has been used to fit out centuries of ships for the high seas. This incredible ability is a result of slight surface oxidation, which protects the metal from any further attacks. The alloy might have different colours depending on the composition, but the choice at ANONIMO leans towards the warmer hues. For Anonimo, "inimitable" is not just a word. By wearing your watch everywhere you go, you become an artisan, crafting your own timepiece. Its appearance will alter, though for the best and without affecting the quality of your timepiece– enabling you to forge your own identity.

Movements

Swiss movements have been fitted in all the watches produced to date, and of course this is not about to change. Today's models use self-winding movements by Sellita, an independent Swiss producer created in 1950, which is dedicated solely to making mechanical watch movements. Note that these same movements are fitted in the watches of many iconic brands. SW200-1 movements are found in the "Nautilo" line, SW260-1 in the "Militare Chrono" line, and SW300-1 with the Dubois-Depraz 2035-M module in the chronos. These movements pulse at a rate of 28,800 per hour, or 4 Hertz per second. The power reserve is 38 hours for the first two, and 42 hours for chronos. You don't change a winning team.

Brushed Dial

One of the specifications and uniqueness of Anonimo watches is the dial finishing.

From a classic manufacturing process of swiss quality painting applied on a brass dial, each Anonimo Militare dial becomes unique with a very light hand made brushed finishing.

Anonimo only uses swiss superluminova for a better reading on hands and indexes.

Leather

Anonimo produces reliable, high-quality watches. They are designed to accompany you into the rugged expanses of nature. They can be found on the wrists of mountaineers or divers ; day after day, in all weathers. That goes to show how important the quality of the strap is. Although available in high grade caoutchouc, it is out of respect to its origins that Anonimo has opted for leather attachments. And not just any leather : a "fatto a mano in Italia" leather, wrought the hard way, by master saddlers of a manufacture based in the Italian Piemonte, using traditional techniques and natural products ensuring durability and simply sum-ptuous comfort : Noblesse oblige

In the past, Anonimo developped a specific and patented KODIAK process in which the leather was treated in order to ensure that it remains sealed, making it possible for the leather to preserve its natural qualities.

12 O'clock crown

Far removed from the trend of showiness, these timepieces boast a unique and eminently recognisable design. The "Militare" line is equipped with a crown guard of staggering ingenuity, simplicity and efficiency.

The crown at 12 o'clock, another specificity of the brand, is secured by the mechanical pressure of the strap once it has been adjusted to your wrist. A major advantage is that unlike other crown water resistance systems, this one cannot be opened inadvertently. A further and obvious benefit of this clever system is a considerable gain of flex at the wrist when compared to regular locking systems. Your freedom is well worth it.
